Marmalade Photography had its start in 2005 with a simple vision by owner Marianne Drenthe: fun, organically captured and emotive images of children and families outside the stuffiness of the (then popular) mall studios. Photographing in family homes and beautiful curated locations has allowed us to capture relationships as they really are.
In essence we created a field trip experience for families and children that still informs our present day ethos.
Marmalade Photography is committed to serving a wonderful experience with quality imagery and finished products for our clientele. Just as we started out in 2005 we continue today.

Session fees begin at $195 for sessions at our curated Marmalade Locations or $295 for on-location sessions throughout Chicagoland and beyond, Monday through Friday – this represents the time and talent of your photographer. Saturday and Sunday sessions are available with a weekend premium of +$75.
Your session fee includes all pre-session preparation, your photoshoot (typically 1-2 hours depending on your family’s needs – with no time limit or outfit restrictions), full culling and editing of your images, and a private password-protected gallery for previewing your favorites.
You’ll have 3-4 days to view your gallery before we meet – by phone, virtually, or in person – for your ordering session. There is no minimum order required. We find that most of our clients want them all.
